Transportation from Geneva to Evian

36-40 EUR/person Geneva to Evian by train and boat

(Info taken from various message boards online.)
See this page for general schedule/fare info (not official): http://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/~gallay/Evian/directions.html

How to get from Geneva Airport to Evian-les-Bains
Train to Lausanne - 45mins or less. (16-17 EUR)
Metro - 10mins including waiting time (or walk 20 min. to harbor)
Shuttle boat 30 mins (12 EUR)
you do not reserve seats on swiss trains, nor the Metro nor on lake shuttles. Just go and get on.

I think it would be simpler from the airport to take a train to Lausanne (there are some that only stop in Geneva en route and get there in about 45 mins or so). The Metro stop is across the Place de la Gare from the station in Lausanne - jsut exit the station and look for McDonalds. It is next to it. About 8 mins or less to Ouchy, then the boat. You can get all the schedules on
www.sbb.ch/en
For the lake boat just put in "via Lausanne".

One way ferry ticket from Lausanne-Ouchy to Evian is about 12 euros.
The fare for a one-way ticket from Geneva's airport to Lausanne is 25 CHF (approx. 16,5 EUR).

Ferry schedule on July 18: leaving Lausanne Ouchy at 5:15 and 6:40. The boat trip takes 35 min.

You can get a combined train/métro and boat ticket on the railways site. The whole journey will take about an hour and a half and will cost you 47.60 one way (train, métro and boat - all 2nd class).

According to online help at rail site, tickets must be purchased at the airport train station. They can be purchased with a credit card.
